Introducing Secure Truck Parking, a new Webfleet feature that enables transport companies to efficiently locate and reserve secure parking spaces. By integrating with Bosch L.OS - Logistics Operating System and Bosch Secure Truck Parking, Webfleet's latest feature connect fleets to a vast network of secure parking locations – helping reduce search times while enhancing driver safety and convenience. The latest in Webfleet and Bosch’s ongoing collaboration, it means that fleet operators can now find, book and manage secure parking within Webfleet, eliminating inefficiencies and simplifying logistics. This launch marks another milestone in Webfleet’s mission to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that empower fleets to operate more efficiently, safely and sustainably.

This year’s #EarthDay theme, 'Our Power, Our Planet', focuses on the global push towards renewable and clean energy. At Bridgestone, we’re turning that ambition into action through our long-standing commitment to energy transition. So far, our work has ensured that 100% of the electricity we purchase for our manufacturing plants across EMEA comes from renewable sources with guarantees-of-origin certificates or IREC equivalents. Whilst over 20,500 solar panels installed at our most advanced facility at Burgos in Spain are now generating around 12% of the site’s annual electricity needs on-site. We’re also continuing to explore and adopt alternate technologies and energy sources. Again at Burgos, we recently introduced a high-efficiency electric heating system powered by electric pumps and circular heat recovery, and other plants are now following suit. We're driving energy transition every day – not just on Earth Day – as part of the Bridgestone E8 Commitment and our efforts to help realise a carbon neutral mobility society.

Last week, Bridgestone was at the 40th Space Symposium, the United States’ largest space-related symposium. We were there alongside the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency to showcase two concept models of our second-generation lunar rover tyre. Leveraging our AirFree® technology, these models have been refined from the previous year’s model to feature lower weight – making them suitable for small and medium-sized luna rovers. Drawing on more than 90 years of tyre development, and our global expertise in supporting all types of mobility on Earth, our lunar rover tyre development is focused on tackling the challenges of lunar exploration and empowering the evolution of space mobility. In 2024, we achieved the top ‘Platinum’ rating from leading global sustainability business ratings provider, EcoVadis – for the fourth year in a row! Not only that, Bridgestone EMEA received a perfect 100% score in the Environment area – one of the four core areas covered by the rigorous EcoVadis assessment. The achievement coincided with several major sustainability highlights last year. 2024 saw Bridgestone sign a new agreement with Grupo BB&G and Versalis to establish a closed-loop tyre recycling ecosystem, the unveiling of the Potenza Sport ᴀ, the first mass-produced Bridgestone tyre to source 55% ISCC PLUS certified recycled and renewable materials in production, and much more. Our latest EcoVadis scorecard recognises the quality of our sustainability management systems and our commitment to promoting transparency across the value chain. But it doesn’t signify that our work is complete. This year and beyond, we have big ambitions to take us even further on our sustainability journey.

We’re very proud to reveal that Bridgestone Corporation has once again been selected to continue as a constituent of three globally recognised environmental, social and governance (ESG) indexes: the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), the FTSE4Good Index Series, and the MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes. This news means that Bridgestone has been included in the DJSI World for three consecutive years since 2022, in the FTSE4Good Index Series for seven consecutive years since 2018, and in the MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes for two consecutive years since 2023. With sustainability at the core of our business, and driven by the Bridgestone E8 Commitment, we’re committed to realising a sustainable society by co-creating value together with our people, society, partners and customers toward 2050. Earlier this year, we teamed up with Mercedes-Benz AG once again for the 2025 instalment of the Mercedes-Benz Winter Driving Event. Returning to Austria’s prestigious Driving Center Saalfelden, the 70,000 m² ice arena provided the perfect setting for an action-packed programme of driving challenges, with participants tackling winter conditions behind the wheel. As the official tyre provider for Mercedes-Benz Driving Events, each vehicle was fitted with premium Blizzak winter tyres – including the new flagship winter tyre, Bridgestone Blizzak 6 with ENLITEN technology. Attendees had the chance to experience first-hand its superior grip, control and performance in various winter conditions.

Introducing the new Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO, delivering longer mileage, uncompromised mobility across the winter season and improved fuel/energy efficiency. Engineered with ENLITEN Technology, Firestone’s latest winter van tyre delivers 10% longer mileage than its predecessor, the Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter. The EV-ready tyre also provides a 10% improvement in wet braking, a best-in-class EU label A-grade in wet grip and a 5% rolling resistance reduction compared to its predecessor.
